This female version of our Mega Drive /  Genesis 1 patch cable enables you to not only use this for interfacing with your 32X it allows you to remove the 32X unit from the console  whilst leaving the patch cable plugged into your Mega Drive unit. You then plug a Mega Drive 2 / Genesis 2 cable into the female socket.

Please note that this adapter cable is not wired for 5 volts, therefore it will not work with SCART TV's when used in conjunction with a Mega Drive 2 SCART cable, Component YPbPr cable or with a RAD2X (unless the RAD2X is powered directly via the microUSB port). It will however work on the OSSC, Framemeister, Sony PVM/BVM monitors etc, as these do not require the 5 volts to switch into RGB mode.
